    KYOTO, JAPAN – Where to Eat Vegan and Gluten-Free

    Kyoto is a must see in Japan, and only a 2 hour 20 minute train ride from Tokyo on the bullet train (Shinkansen). When you walk through Kyoto, you feel as if you’ve fallen back in time — countless shinto shrines and ancient Buddhist temples, classic Japanese architecture (especially in the Gion district), a rich selection of delicious Japanese food to try (and don’t forget to visit the wild monkeys in Arashiyama).   Check out our favorite restaurants below that had plenty of options for both vegan and gluten-free diners.
